Previously released on compilations and in the demoscene, mostly 2025-2026. \r\n\r\nFinally, some good ol' chiptunes and chipbreak on compact disc! Yes, Compoid is in many ways the Goto80 you knew 20 years ago. Short, catchy, beepy and dense. And better, of course!\r\n\r\nAlso availiable over Telephone Radio Hotline, an amazing telephone service for you and your friends! Call +46 60 60 70 593 and follow the instructions to listen to Compoid, talk to other callers, and listen to livestreams.\r\nMore information at https://www.goto80.com/trh",

"title": "Astral Aurora - The Complete Soundtrack",
|
||
"about": "This is a story and soundtrack to a game that does NOT YET exist...\r\n------\r\nAssume You = Onei\r\n\r\nThis is Onei's chapter. Shortly after a mysterious manifestation, he, a dark, cat-like being, drifts through outer space until he discovers and is drawn towards a rift to the Astral Plane, a mindful realm of pure abstract wonder. Entering the rift, Onei would curiously explore the Astral Plane, causing mischief and undergoing all sorts of shenanigans along the way. Soon he would be met with heavy backlash from the native astral beings, but will that be enough to deter his sheer enthusiasm?\r\n|\r\nThe full story is told in order of each song's description. The descriptions receive edits and clarifications on occasion, so be on the lookout!\r\n------\r\n------\r\nThis soundtrack was a labor of love and passion that amounts to over 2 years of work, and 3 years including the extras, all in my spare time. Keep in mind that that time has been padded with breaks from working on the soundtrack as well as other things. If It were my sole focus musically speaking, I think I might've been able to make it all in around a year's time more or less.\r\n-\r\nArt for songs 3-10 was created by a special friend who went by the alias \"Shmoop.\" Art for the rest of the soundtrack was created by me, including the album cover and logo!\r\n-\r\nI'm not sure when or if this will become a game, but I hope you'll enjoy what I have to present right now :)",

"title": "80864 (DATA051)",

"about": "Once again, Goto80 returns with new experiments, this time with a synchronized Commodore 64 and TR-808. Together they play crunchy electro funk, melodic acid pop and evil techno bass. This is gut-wrenching 808-kickdrums, dirty SID-sounds and ambiguous atmospheres all the way!\r\n\r\nThe experienced Goto80 listener will recognize the strong melodies, the broken rhythms and the obvious inspirations from rock, IDM and reggae dub. With 80864 he also delves deeper into acid, electro and techno as an homage to the history of the 808. All taken together, 80864 is probably Goto80's most consistent release to date, and his first solo 12\" vinyl. \r\n\r\n\"Ever since Kissdub lent/gave me his TR-808 many years ago, I've wanted to synchronize it with the C-64. Finally, in 2014, Scannerboy built like two dozen interfaces that did this, and I managed to get my hands on one. I'm forever grateful to Scannerboy, and our lord the defMON-creator, for making my music setup obscure as f**k. And here are some of the tracks that these babies (and their friends) have spit out during the past 2 years. Enjoy!\"\r\n\r\nSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/12EHjKDsfCdj2cejAdX7PA",

Released as a limited edition Floppy Disk sporting a roughly 7 minutes spanning mp3 file with a whopping 16 kbps bit rate Goto80 presents his very own vision of complex, glitched out, yet super seductive LoBit Phonk with this one, evoking memories of classic Electronica x Braindance workouts once released by legendary labels like Rephlex and still rocking advanced late night dancefloors with a playful and uplifting, ever meandering stream of miraculously entertaining sonic events. When we first heard the single, what struck us immediately was the clever usage of the Amiga speech synthesis, layers of digital speech that rendered beautiful voice-harmonies like we never heard before. As usual, he used rather crude methods for this, like turning a statement into a question for a different tonality.\r\n\r\nAmong the remixes you will taste a sweet electronic jam from Terminal 11 and some greasy dubstep by Liquid Stranger, accompanied with deliciously home made swing techno by Neckbreaka.",

The dub version was made together with Glenn Again using double-speed on C64. It was finished minutes before mastering the release at EMS, where me and Role Model also did some jamming with LSDJ through some 1970’s modular mega system.\r\n\r\nRe-issued by popular demand, this 7” ranges from vocodered schlager calypso and ultra-melodic adventure pop to the dark and experimental journeys of the flip-side. Apart from the vocoder, it’s 100% Commodore 64.\r\n\r\n“A delicious mix of quirkiness and also abstract dub on this first single from Goto8o.” (Cyclic Defrost #1, 2002)",

"about": "You work at a cybernetic research & development facility. Your job is to aid your coworkers in the upkeep of a cybernetic portal. Word on the street is that the portal's destination is supposed to be the Astral Plane. Sadly, you're the one who is always pulled aside to do the things that nobody else wants, like cleaning the damn toilets.\r\n|\r\nThe day shift is a simple, passive factory simulator. The night shift is an extremely overwhelming and downright unbearable mess of unreasonable demands, and angry corporate big names, and what makes it worse is that you are being forced to work unpaid overtime, right after your day shift was supposed to end.. Not tonight. This is where everything changes. Tonight is the night you break the contract that binds you to this job. Screw the consequences, you want your life back, and you'll get it by any means necessary. This night shift will turn into an aggressive beat 'em-up; as you slowly walk towards the exit of the facility without permission, ai enforcement units are deployed to put you back in your place. You will need to use whatever cybernetic tech is around you at the time to break out.. including that damn toilet plunger.",

"title": "Psykhe",
|

"about": "Patricia Kokett follows up two critically-acclaimed esoteric techno releases on Knekelhuis (Bizarr [2020], Diabel [2018]) with a new EP – Psykhe – to be released by Isla to Isla on the 25th of april 2023 as a 12” vinyl and digital.\r\n\r\nPsykhe sees Lithuanian musician and composer Gediminas Jakubka continuing to explore his distinct sound, but taking it in a new direction: a step away from the euphoric new age dance floor and into a significantly murkier, more precarious territory. Psykhe is meant as a sonic simulacrum of the artist's psyche during the pandemic – a quickened mind bred by a decelerated world. In that and other senses, the record is a modern take on the ‘80s/’90s Detroit ethos of dance music created for an illusory dance floor. \r\n\r\nIncidentally (or not!), Psykhe is much more electro-based and darker – intent on delivering catharsis, but not euphoria. Das Risiko starts us off with a eurotrance-infused, punchy electro beat, housing a nostalgic melody and driven forward by a raw, ever-mutating bassline. Throughout this and other tracks on the record, we hear Kokett exploring his love for disembodied voices. On Sangre Seraph, their ghostly presence is felt strongly as they take center-stage in a sequence that feels almost Sleazy-esque. The wistful synths guide us into Love Your Ghosts – an electrific banger slathered in dreamy whalesong and a fitting companion for the just-before-dawn 4x4 vibes of Khaoss, forming the emotional peak of Psykhe. The closer, Eunuchy, epitomizes the record with its soft (and somewhat sad) kosmische background, accentuating a strong rhythmic core.",
